About

A small services hub for radio work and healthier community tools.

CQ2 exists to make DSARC-connected tools easier to find. It starts with a public forum, member Cloudlog, and invite-grown Pixelfed, then leaves room for more services as the club builds them.

DSARC context

DSARC, the Do Something Amateur Radio Club, serves the amateur radio community around Moscow and Latah County, Idaho. The club emphasizes volunteer public service, emergency communications, technical learning, and a relaxed community atmosphere for hams.

DSARC operates as a program or club under the nonprofit CommUnity Nexus, Inc. Membership dues help support club services, training, community events, and member infrastructure.

What belongs on CQ2

CQ2 is looking for self-hosted, privacy-focused projects that support the club without turning attention into an ad product. That includes social media alternatives designed around real communities instead of engagement algorithms.

Future work may include ham radio VoIP, growing Meshtastic and MeshCore repeater systems, expanding DMR networks, emergency communications, public service communications, disaster preparedness, and other practical infrastructure.
